On Thursday, December 13th, University of Nevada, Reno staff member, Ginger Fenwick, will cut and donate 25 inches of her hair to the
Pantene Pro-V Beautiful Lengths program in memory of Kayla. The Pantene program will then make a wig of Ginger's hair and donate it to one of the many American Cancer Society wig banks in the US.
The Tangerine Aveda Salon at the Summit Sierra Mall has generously offered to donate the haircut and style. Members of the foundation will be there to cheer Ginger on so if you can, please come show your support as well! We are very greatful for her donation to cancer and for her loving thoughts of Kayla. If you'd like to be a part of this great event come to the Tangerine Aveda Salon at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 20th.
You can read more about Ginger and Kayla in a great article written by Jill Stockton of the Nevada News

Thanks to the money that was raised from the
¡Baila! fundraiser, we were able to donate $500 to the
National Cancer Institute and $500 to the Reno Cancer Foundation. The donations were tagged so that they would go specifically towards GBM related research.
We chose the foundations we did because we wanted to donate on both a local and national level. And while the donations are not of hugely significant amounts, the foundation will only continue to grow and put on larger fundraisers and in turn be able to donate larger sums to various GBM related causes.
